These guys continue to make music that strikes a balance between rock and mainstream without invoking the pop/punk vibe which has pretty much gone the way of completely pop. I especially dig the syncopation going on around the choruses.

When Royal Blood first came out you wondered how could a two man band expand their sound, while staying true to their aesthetic but not making the same records twice? I am looking at you Black Keys/Japandroids. The Royal Blood duo managed to walk that fine line to show a maturation process while keeping their hard rock exterior.

A jam indeed but sonically, it sounds dated and I feel like it needs a full throaded vocalist who believes in the words he's singing. Imagine Chris Conell singing on this track. ... and there you go. "Who's that guy singing? Not Chris Cornell."
